This costume was first created for Helen Mirren in the title role of the 2005 HBO mini-series, Elizabeth I. The costume was used numerous times in the 2010 season of The Tudors on both Sarah Bolger as Princess Mary, as well as on Joely Richardson as Katherine Parr.  It was also used on Joely Richardson for promotional photos for The Tudors, at which point additional trim was added. The costume was seen again in 2010 on Fiona Hampton as Lady Matilda in the episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures entitled Lost in Time. Most recently in 2017, the gown was used on an uncredited actress as Anne of Denmark in Gunpowder.
